Hi! I’m Kaila
I’m an artist based in Boston, MA.
I graduated from Lesley University College of Art + Design (back when it was called A.I.B.) with a BFA in Illustration. Being heavily influenced by the fantastic, my work leans towards magical realism, featuring characters of fantasy, myth, folklore, and the supernatural grounded in the world around us. I’m drawn to stories that feature misfits, magic, adventure, and horror.
If I’m not drawing, you’ll likely find me reading, at the gym, or watching Star Trek. I love cats more than most living things, and I tend to obsess over well designed stationery.
